The library serves primarily to support the education of students of the St. John’s College.
The book collection contains literature from the fields of pedagogy, special pedagogy, psychology, theology, catechesis, philosophy, ethics, ecology, children’s literature, history, child biology, English and German. Furthermore, literature on family, drama, art, music, work and physical education. Several periodicals are subscribed to the library.
The books in the library are freely accessible to all participants, who can choose to borrow them themselves. The maximum number of currently borrowed books per participant is usually seven.
In the library, it is possible to borrow the graduate theses of graduates of the St. John’s College.
Training participants can block books up to three days before borrowing.
The library is open on weekdays from 07:30 to 08:30, from 12:30 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 15:30.
During the combined study meetings the library opens also on Fridays from 18:00 to 19:00 and on Saturdays from 8:00 to 15:30.
